PERSONNEL
GGSI self-performs 100% of our core services rather than using subcontractors to perform all or part of our core services. This allows us to have more management control of our cleaning staff and operations, offering a more efficient workflow and a higher quality of service to our clients.
Commitment to Sufficient Staffing Levels and Low Employee Turnover.
GGSI’s qualified workforce starts with our recruitment and careful screening of experienced employees. By retaining a large percentage of our personnel, we provide optimal staffing levels and control absenteeism in order to staff our custodial projects with experienced and reliable workforce. Our hiring and employee retention practices include the following:
- All new hires are thoroughly screened (checking references, background, and experience levels).
- GGSI provides competitive wages and benefits (health insurance, vacation, sick days) to employees.
- We provide an incentive and recognition program for excellence in performance in the form of wage increases, bonuses, gift cards, group parties, etc.
- Fair and flexible supervision of the workforce.
- We nurture and develop skilled workers with opportunities for advancement.
- Our comprehensive training program provides our employees with the skills and support they need for high quality performance and the ability to perform their duties safely.
- We provide the necessary training, equipment, and supplies to our employees so that they will succeed.
Employee Training
GGSI makes certain that each new employee receives extensive training to ensure that he/she is trained in the proper use of the various chemicals and equipment, and that he/she performs his/her assigned duties properly and safely. Our training program includes:
- Employee Orientation Training (involves shadow training)
- OSHA / Safety Training – GGSI Safety Manual
- Product (Chemicals) and Equipment Training
- Safety Data Sheet (SDS) Training
- Specialized Training (blood borne pathogens, bioterrorism, etc.)

This comprehensive training program ensures that cleaning tasks are performed safely and effectively in order to prevent injuries and accidents, as well as to provide the best value to our clients.
Equal Opportunity

We adhere to an employment policy that prohibits discriminatory practices or harassment against employees based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, Vietnam-era or disabled veteran status or other military service, citizenship, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability (where applicant or employee is qualified to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation), or any other legally impermissible factor.
